The agreement between Qatar and the Pakistan Army has been confirmed for the upcoming FIFA World Cup 2022 which is going to be held after 90 days. This would be a mega event.
The Federal Government gave confirmation and approval for signing the agreement. Government said that it had its own agenda and it was approved before.
The cabinet, Joint Staff Headquarters (JSHQ) as well as the Directorate General of the Inter-Services Intelligence (ISI) proposed the signing of the agreement and the foreign ministry showed no grievance.
The cabinet said that the FIFA World Cup will be held from November 21 to December 18, 2022, in Qatar. The Qatar government has requested the Pakistan army to give security assistance for the event.
The draft of agreement was made by the Law and Justice Division and the Ministry of Foreign Affairs and the Directorate General of the ISI signed it.
The agreement reads, “The agreement aims to define the obligation of the two parties, the specific specializations, and the number of security personnel to be sent by Pakistan to participate in the security and safety operations.”
