Ministry of human rights with the support of RSIL and UNDP conducted dialogue on 24 january,2023, on implementation of national action plan, business, and human rights. Experts from SECP, Pakistan textile council, Homenet Pakistan, and other leading industries. It was discussed how national action plan protects rights of working class in different industries. There are certain regulations at SECP level, if violated, workers can contact court and get their voice heard. Non judicial ways are obviously more important in this matter. Suggestion came from ministry of human rights to have one human rights/grievance official at every industry who will listen to the grievances of employees and work on its redressal. Dialogue was a success, and it was a great initiative on ministry of human rights, UNDP and RSIL end but again big question lies ahead; Are businesses willing to follow human rights?
