The Nasubi Case: The Real "Truman Show" was Japanese

It was the most deranged contest in history. And the whole country watched it live. The victim of this experiment was called Tomoaki Hamatsu. The young man was offered fame and fortune. But he was never told the rules of the game. He was blindfolded and taken to a studio. Nasubi had trusted the producers with his life. And soon would pay for his mistake. The young man was locked in a room nude. All of Japan tuned in to watch that moment. And soon the game began. Everyone enjoyed his life through the camera in his room. He was left alone and with no food. He lost his freedom. But he was offered a way to get it back.  If he wanted food or clothing he had to earn them. Because no one would have mercy on him. He had to play magazine lotteries. So, he spent the 1st week without food until he won the 1st prize. He won the 1st prize to survive. 

But there was a long way to go to achieve his goals. The producers set an impossible condition. Nasubi had to win the equivalent of a million Yen in prize money. And that's how his descent into madness began. He had no pots or plates to eat. However, he was an incredible genius. But his mind would soon betray him. Months passed and Tomoaki Hamatsu started changing. He was malnourished and spoke to stuffed toys. But the cruelest part was the secret kept from him. No one told him that he was being  broadcast to the whole country. 

It all started as a reality show. But the producers were eager to make more money and started an online 24/7 broadcast until the fans found the location and Tomaski was moved to a new place not knowing the end was near. NASUBI was losing faith. For weeks he only ate dog food until one afternoon a miracle arrived.  Tomaku Hamatsu reached his goal and the network took him out to celebrate. The producers made him live, the best day of his life. But it was all a trick. Nasubi was locked in a new room full of usual envelopes and magazines. However, the conditions had changed . He had lost his self esteem and took all of his clothes on his own which would end whatever sanity he had left. After months of confinement, he was an experienced player. He earned his money in record time. But the producers were not happy. He had lost all social skills. But this contest became his talent and the producers decided to raise the difficulty level. 

The price for his freedom was raised by thousands of Yen. The audience started to believe he wouldn't make it. But Tomoaki Hamatsu would make them eat their words. The producers set trap after trap for him. And Nasubi overcame them all. And the channel was forced to make a decision. He was blindfolded and taken to a different room. The man thought it was another test. And as always he took his clothes off. But this time he wasn't alone. Hamatsu was taken to a room full of people. And there, naked, he was proclaimed as the winner of the game. He had been locked up for over 15 months becoming a legend in his country. Later on, Nasubi started a career as an actor and today he works for humanitarian causes. However he has to live with irreparable side effects. And the Tv Network was accused of torture and abuse. The show itself was banned. And the Japanese Truman Show ended forever.
